Conference Recordings – Art Practices & The Housing Crisis

On November 18th the Institute of Urban Dreaming (IUD) hosted a one-day symposium examining how contemporary art practices engage with the current housing crisis. The event consisted of a series of talks and round table discussions at the People’s History Museum. Below are audio recordings of the talks that took place. The Alive Playground

The Alive Playground is a simple -both elegant and readable- intervention by Brígida  Campbell in a children’s playground in Pendleton, Salford. The work was created in collaboration with IUD, and local school children who played happily and noisily in their break time whilst Brigida made sound recordings.
